About Image to SVG Converter

Image to SVG turns logos, icons, and flat artwork into layered vector paths you can scale to any size and edit in Figma or Illustrator. Tracing runs in your browser, so your image is never uploaded.

How to use

  1. Drop one image on the upload area, or choose Upload image. PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and BMP up to 12 MB are supported.
  2. Wait for the conversion to finish. It starts right away with the 3 Colors preset.
  3. Compare the Original with the SVG preview. If it needs work, pick another Image Trace preset and choose Re-convert.
  4. Check the Layers list to see each fill color and how many paths it has.
  5. Choose Download SVG to save the vector file.

Frequently asked questions

Which images work best?

Logos, icons, and flat illustrations with a few solid colors. Photos and gradients are simplified into flat color areas, so use the Low fidelity photo preset for them and expect a stylized result.

What do the presets do?

3 Colors and 6 Colors limit the number of fill colors. Low fidelity photo keeps more tones for photos. Auto looks at your image and picks a preset for you.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Tracing runs in a background worker in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Why does the SVG look simpler than my image?

Images are scaled to 1200 px on the long side before tracing, and tiny specks, background plates, and gradients are cleaned up into flat fills. This keeps the SVG light and easy to edit.

Can I edit the result in Figma or Illustrator?

Yes. The SVG is grouped by color into layers with a transparent background, so you can recolor or remove parts easily.
